“Iranian students barred from US: lost money, broken dreams, no answers”
I have just recently read the article about Iranian students , who were barred from the USA. They gave up everything to study in America , but was it worth it?
On 9 of September, Milad Aghajohari and other students went to Tehran’s international airport. They were on their way to university. Some of them entered Stanford University .
He rolled his suitcases into the terminal. But he wasn’t accepted to the board , as he was seen as a potentially dangerous person.
Is it right to engage students in the political conflict ? Why should they suffer because of the war?
«The last-minute denials have had a deep, possibly lasting effect on a group of Iran’s highest-achieving students.»A lot of students are worried about their financial losses.For instance, Nima Abdollahpour, sold his apartments in Tehran, sold all his stock to his college, in order to start a PHd at UC Davis .Now, after denying he has nothing.He spent more than 2000$ just to pay for Programm, get F1 Visa, Rent accommodation.But now he has to live with his parents. He feels depressed , as he can’t forget the eyes of his fellow-students, as if he was a terrorist.He believes, that he will have a chance to go to US in January , but nobody guarantees it.
To sum it up, I can say that we shouldn’t be victims of politics. We should have a possibility to study everywhere if we are cleverness.

ОтветитьУдалитьthe article you have chosen is indeed devoted to a very interesting and controversial topic which is a source of many arguments on both the supporting and opposing sides. How do you answer the questions you have posed yourself in the end of your work?
I quite agree that the students should not suffer from the decisions made by politicians, but unfortunately the reality is different. What development of the situation do you see? Are you optimistic/pessimistic about it? Why?
As for the form of your writing, it is not quite right because a summary should include the main ideas of the reading selection written in your own words. It is not common to quote the original in its summary
